The Hodag Statue Celebrates Wisconsin's own Cryptid

Since its first reporting in 1893, the city of Rhinelander, Wisconsin has fully embraced the hodag. The hodag statue sits proudly outside the chamber of commerce, the hodag is the mascot of Rhinelander High School, and there’s even an annual Hodag Country Festival.
