Stay inside a Potato and enjoy some Cow Company in Idaho

You won’t find many opportunities to spend the night inside a giant potato.

Originally built in 2012, the potato was created for the Idaho Potato Commission’s 75th anniversary and traveled around the country promoting Idaho potatos.

When it was replaced by a new giant potato in 2018, it was turned into the potato hotel you can stay in today.

While you’re there, you can make friends with Dolly the cow, who cohabits the field with the potato. There’s even a treat bucket you can feed her from, and she’ll walk over if she sees you anywhere near it.

How to get there

Address: 31581 S Orchard Access Rd, Boise, ID 83716

Directions: Take I-84 exit 71 and drive south on South Orchard Access Road. Cross the train tracks and the potato will be on your right. There's gravel parking outside.
